A video for top NHL prospect Lane Hutson’s announcement that he’ll leave BU for the NHL
Posted on his personal Instagram account, where it garnered over 140,000 views in 24 hours

My Notes:

Lane approached me towards the end of the NCAA Regional in late March, 2024 asking me to create this video. At the time, it wasn’t known to the public that he’d indeed sign with the Canadiens.
We collaborated closely with the song selection and general theme of the video. I insisted right off the bat on M83’s Outro for both it’s title and poignant nature.
I used footage I’d accumulated from broadcasts and our Videographers to create a piece that encapsulated Lane’s incredible BU career in his strict minute-long timeframe. He relented on letting me go a bit over to include the ending.
I also included pictures that he sent me that were important to him. I decided to linger on the photo of Lane and his brother, Quinn as my final frame.
