“WELCOME TO FOREVER”

The Project:

• A recruiting video for top 2007 prospect Charlie Trethewey

• Sent to him and put up on the scoreboard at Agganis Arena during his official visit

My Notes:

• I used the audio of an old NHL Playoff commercial from 2010/2011, taking the majority of the narration and reframing it as a story of a future at BU.

• Our head recruiter talked with the prospect’s family to get archival footage and photos of the player when he was a child. We also included a shot of Shawn Horcoff, who was his coach at the time. To get footage of Charlie, I had to dig through our recruiting database, Youtube, Instagram, and even TikTok.

• I spliced in footage of our Head Coach, Jay Pandolfo, scoring and lifting the Stanley Cup, as well as other footage of Terriers past and present.

• Charlie Trethewey ended up committing to BU and is slated to arrive in 2025.
