PRESEASON HYPE 23/24

The Project:

• A pump-up video shown to the team before our season opening game at Bentley

My Notes:

• I worked with our Strength and Conditioning Coach, Ken Whittier, to create the monologue that he read over the footage. It was a collaborative effort to write a speech that would be hype but not corny, evoking memories of the teams painful loss in the 2023 Frozen Four and channeling that to the upcoming season.

• I leaned into a glitch in my footage to create a choppy, gritty image of the gym footage to convey what it feels like to be blacking out from exertion.

• Using Hand Covers Bruise by Atticus Ross and Trent Reznor was something that meant a lot to me. The Social Network is one of my favorite films and using the haunting music at the beginning I think worked perfectly.
