The Project:

• A pump-up video shown to the team in between the Semifinal and Final of the 2024 Beanpot Tournament. There was a game against Merrimack in between as well.

My Notes:

• For the uninitiated, the Beanpot is a massive Boston tradition. It’s basically a mid-season playoff game, which is unique in College hockey and realistically American pro sports as well. With that in mind, I wanted to create a video that fit the moment, using movie references and Macklin cursing on live TV to mix it up a bit. Once I got the games out of the way, I used a change-up in the song to create a hype ending that led the boys to the next game… the final.

• As in all of our team highlight videos, I had to include hits, saves, and blocks, so naturally there is a drop-off in high quality footage in those moments. Further, the Merrimack game I really struggled with finding great footage, so I had to do the best with what I had.
